is there a kit I can get for the fz750 instead of buying individually?
– the local dealer wants 48.00 for pack of 5 and for some reason I cant choose the size!? and refuses to trade (even with fee).
– I need 11 shims from 1.6x to 1.70can I use ducati 7mm shims? any one tried to experiment with other shims?
what do you think about shaving down my valve stem end to get the clearance I need?
Hello, as far as i know there isn’t a kit for the fz750. I had to do mine last year and i ended up buying them all seperately as well. I just chalked it up to that’s just how it’s gonna have to be, luckily with the fz it has high maintenace intervals for valve shims and you don’t have to do it all the time. I wouldn’t recommend shaving down the valve stem, because if you’re off by even just a little bit, the shim won’t sit on it correctly and then it may damage the bucket. But that’s just my opinion, i’m not exactly sure what would happen.
