If I wanted more power I think I would go for a 1000 block on the original crankcase.I’ve read that this takes the capacity to either 888cc on the earlier engine or 911cc on the later motor,I also read that YZF750 carbs work best but need a adaptor to fit.
Which motor do you have?The earlier ones have different ignitions,pick ups at both ends of the crank,later engines have single pick ups.I haven’t heard of any upgraded CDI units but over here (UK), FZ 750’s still get used in races so someone must produce upgraded electronics for them.
My next modification is to fit Dynatek coils & leads but that’s more to do with reliability,the ones fitted are original from 1986!
